I was introduced to yoga in 2010 at UNM in Albuquerque and experienced a big transformation in my life and have been on a yoga journey since. After facing a disabling shoulder and knee injury I knew it was time to test my ability to connect to a deeper self healing journey. I quickly found out that not only was yoga working miracles for the body but also self-discovery and awareness of healing the mind and spirit. In 2015 another major shift occurred and led me to Northern NM where I began attending an RYT 200 training with Bri Winton, founder of Angel Heal Yoga and Sacred Hot Yoga out of Colorado Springs. I attained my License in 2016 and received my name, Roxy The Yoga Gypsy. I knew right there and then that I wanted to inspire others to connect to their own healing source no matter what challenges they are facing. I now run a very small community based hot yoga studio in Vadito, NM (Taos County). I have experience in Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga. Ayurvedic Yoga, Geriatric Yoga, Chair Yoga, Chakra Balancing Yoga, and Goat yoga. I am also licensed in Tai Chi for arthritis and balance, Reiki Massage, and Limpia. I enjoy incorporating aroma therapy and certain herbs such as CBD in specific Yoga sessions to deepen the healing on a cellular level. I specialize in my own developed style of yoga I call, Native New Mexico Sacred Yoga Ceremony, deriving from my lineage of healers and curanderisma in southern NM. Most of all I am so blessed and thankful for the opportunity to share and learn, and will forever honor the teacher and student relationship that is a constant in my personal yoga practice. It is such an honor to be of service to the communidad and be a part of such a powerful team at Shree that advocates for taking the yoga practice off the mat and into our everyday life, so more divine ones can share their story of light and love. Namaste.

Rob signed up for his first yoga class in 1996 as an art student at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. This initial experience had a profound effect on his life that still resonates. A dedicated student of yoga, Rob completed his 200-hour training in 2000 at The Chicago Yoga Center, through the guidance of his teacher Suddha Weixler.
